Jim Urdiales, owner of Mestizo Restaurant since 1999, is proud and excited to introduce his new location.

Featuring modern, Mexican cuisine in a festive atmosphere, Mestizo Restaurant is great for lunch, dinner, weekdays and weekends.  "Mestizo is a great date place and has a spectacular bar!"  Enjoy the guacamole, margarita and salsa recipes below.

 
Salsa
Enjoy salsa on chips with Mestizo's guacamole and margaritas!

Ingredients:
1 quart Whole peeled tomatoes
1 White onion
3 Serrano peppers
½ cup Cilantro
1 Carrot
  Salt, pepper and garlic, to taste
 
Directions:
1. Blend all ingredients.
2. Enjoy!
3. Too tired to cook, come enjoy our salsa at Mestizo!
 
Margaritas
It's 5 o'clock somewhere!  Frozen or on the rocks, margaritas are wonderful when enjoyed with guacamole and chips!

Ingredients:
2 cups Your favorite tequila
1 cup Triple sec
1 cup Fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice (Jim uses lemon!)
2 cups Simple syrup
½ cup Fruit (optional, such as strawberries, mango, etc.)
 
Directions:
1. Shake all ingredients together.
2. Serve on the rocks or blend with ice for frozen margaritas.

Simple syrup is sugar water.  Mix 2 cups water and 2 cups sugar.  Heat in sauce pan over medium heat.   Stir until dissolved.

 
Guacamole
Enjoy guacamole as a salad, with Mestizo's chips and margaritas!

Ingredients:
10 Haas avocados, ripe
2 White onions, chopped
2 Vine ripe tomatoes, chopped
½ cup Italian dressing
  Salt, pepper and garlic, to taste
 
Directions:
1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor or mash.
2. Enjoy!
