You don’t have to travel very far from Baton Rouge to experience a whole bunch of Summer fun; area 225 is going to be a hot spot with all the upcoming events and activities!

From the west side of town to the east side of the river, Louisiana’s capital has the perfect lineup of things to do throughout the upcoming months. Here are our top events to watch out for:

Sport Parties

One of the great things about living in Baton Rouge during the summer is that there are always sports going on. And like every good Louisianan should know, with sports come tailgates and Mestizo plans to rent out our private room for football viewing parties to elevate your tailgate experience.

From kids’ soccer and baseball games to LSU athletics, there is plenty of reason to get together for a party–and this means lots of food!

Let Mestizo’s provide for your shindig with an array of quality, traditional Mexican cuisine. Start off with an appetizer or two and lead into healthy entrées of your choice. In the end, finish off a great party with a selection of fantastic desserts.

For the older partiers and sports fans, Mestizo has all your favorite margarita blends to keep you cool this summer.

Fourth of July With the USS Kidd

Are you looking to celebrate America’s freedom with a bang? Join thousands of patriots for a Fourth of July celebration downtown at the USS Kidd for fireworks, hotdog eating contests, watermelon seed spitting, and much more!

Though Mestizo is closed on the Fourth of July, we are fully prepared to cater your gallon margaritas for your parties and festivities on the Fourth.
